Life of Pip

Food. Wine. Friends.

Even at a young age I was detail-oriented when it came to food

From a newly re-discovered diary. Sarah, age 10:

Dear Diary,
I was at Heather’s House last night. We snuck (bought) candy from the store, Saturday & Today. We bought (Sat.) 5 rasberries (each) 1 coke bottle candy (each) 1 wiggly worm (each) & 5 sours (each). On Sunday we bought 10 rasberries (each) 2 coke bottle candies (each) & 2 worms (each). We saw Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Today we went for a 60 km bike ride & then went swimming. Heather was kissed by Kurt on Friday.
See you soon

Okay, kiddo, case sensitive and all that. You were and are very precocious. And I loved your time with Heather as your best friend even though I wasn’t always sure what you two were up to….maybe that was a good thing?

Always a good thing, I think, to be slightly in the dark as to what your children are doing! hahah. Though saying that, I was never up to much…
